Interesting Websites I Discovered in Quarantine
blog / March 23rd, 2021
A cool thing about staying at home has been all of the interesting websites that I've discovered. Here are a few of them:
Frinkiac
Frinkiac is a website where you can search for words or phrases from episodes of The Simpsons. It returns screenshots related to your search terms, and you easily can generate memes and gifs from these screenshots. Here's a gif that I made:
I also wanted to do one where Ralph wet himself, but couldn't find the frames.
Pantone
Are you looking for new colours to use? Whether it is for graphic design, art, fashion, interior design, or web design, Pantone's colour finder is a great way to discover new colours and their hex codes.
TwoSeven
For those who are finding social distancing difficult, TwoSeven is a website that allows you to create an online room where you can invite friends and family to watch videos, shows, and movies together. Users can communicate via webcam or online chat. The free version of TwoSeven supports streaming Netflix, YouTube Videos, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, HBO Max, Vimeo, Crunchyroll, and other online videos.
Festival Poster Generator
This is a cool website site that allows you to parody some of your favorite music festival lineup posters. All you have to do is enter a few lists of your favourite music artists (or anything, really) and a mock-up of a festival lineup poster will be created.
Hacker Typer
If you're using your laptop in public and want to catch people's attention by looking like one of those stereotypical hackers seen in movies and TV shows, Hacker Typer is a fun way to do that. All you have to do is mash your keyboard buttons and it will look like you are writing some crazy hacker code - just make sure you're not using it somewhere where you'll get in trouble for looking like a hacker 😅.
